It may have been cold outside, but the cheery smiles and warm hearts at the farm were unwavering! Despite the snowy start to January, lessons resumed on January 13th as scheduled, thanks to the dedication of our staff and volunteers, who worked tirelessly to clear the snow and prepare the horses and ponies for the new lesson year.
The snow-covered landscape created a picturesque backdrop for the farm, perfect for capturing beautiful winter photos. While the trails were too slick for riding, students stayed warm and active in the indoor arena with action-packed lessons featuring ground poles, trotting, and two-point practice. Meanwhile, parents enjoyed the cozy hot chocolate bar in the lounge, lovingly prepared by our incredible volunteers. The horses, of course, took the snow in stride, unfazed by the wintery weather.
During our end of Quarter 2
lesson break from January 20th to 27th, the coldest temperatures of the season conveniently arrived while students were off from lessons….perfect timing! With a thaw expected this week, Quarter 3 lessons will kick off, bringing back our 2025 schooling dressage and jumper shows, as well as pony club lessons.
Looking ahead, we are already planning exciting events, including the 2025 Johnny Forrest Golf Classic, dressage clinics, and camps. Stay tuned to this blog for all the upcoming action this spring. In the meantime, stay bundled up and enjoy the season! ❄️☃️❤️
